Director’s Statement: “The Zand Order has a particularly personal history for me. My mother was an enormous part of making this film possible and was deeply involved in bringing it to life. She passed away only a few months after the original film was completed in 2021.

Five years later, I returned to the film to create the version I always wanted it to be—restoring material, reworking the edit, and rebuilding the soundscape with music and expanded sound design. This Director's Cut is also a way for me to honor my mother and the role she played in making the film possible. Without her, The Zand Order would not exist.”
